The San Luis Potosi Jardineros picked up a win at Desperados Ballpark, knocking off the Queretaro Desperados, 3-2. Starting pitcher Alejandro Soto played a key role in the triumph. Claudio Camacho notched the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record now sits at 2-3. Their 28-23 record puts the Jardineros third in the Zona Sur.
The most critical at-bat came in the top of the 11th inning. With no one out, Cisco Juárez hit a first pitch curveball from Salvador Martínez for a run-scoring single. It put San Luis Potosi in front, 3-2.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Queretaro manager Francisco Rúbio. "The effort was great."
