The performance of Miguel Romero proved critical in helping El Ray beat Acapulco, 6-1. The Vampiros right fielder was 4 for 4 with a home run and 3 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The Vampiros, at 27-24, sit in 4th place in the Zona Sur.
El Ray used a well-timed hit by Marcos Lucero to capture the win. The second baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Vampiros ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
