Cafe Tacvbas Squelch Jardineros Offense in Shutout Win
San Luis Potosi wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Luis Mendoza, falling to the Naucalpan Cafe Tacvbas, 5-0. Mendoza threw 7.2 innings of 2-hit ball for the losing team. Héctor Rivera, the winner, improved to 6-5. He held the Jardineros to no runs on 5 hits over 6.1 innings, while striking out 4 and walking 1. The third-place Cafe Tacvbas improved to 30-27.

Naucalpan relied on the bat of Gonzalo Trujillo to get the win. The center fielder ripped a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Cafe Tacvbas ahead, 5-0. For the game, Trujillo had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
