The Zapopan Torrenas did just enough to secure a victory over the El Ray Vampiros, 4-3, at Vampiros Ballpark. Nobody did more than pitcher Julián Alaniz. Alaniz, now 4-1, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 6, walking 0, and allowing 2 runs. The victory gives Zapopan a record of 36-23.

It could have been a different outcome for Zapopan, had it not been for Carlos Gonzáles, the 32-year old first baseman . Gonzáles contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put Zapopan up, 3-0.
