The Leon Zapateros got a superb performance from pitcher Juan Flores. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Ciudad Acuna. The Mariachis won the game, 6-3. Flores threw 5.2 innings allowing 1 runs. The winner in relief was José Vega. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2.1 innings. He now owns a record of 5-3. Rafael Diéguez collected his 1st save.
Ciudad Acuna used the clutch hitting of Manuel Rincón to capture the win. The shortstop drilled a bases-clearing double in the top of the eighth inning to give the Mariachis the lead, 6-3. For the game, Rincón had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.
