The San Luis Potosi Jardineros overcame a good performance by Merida center fielder César Santos to knock off Merida, 5-3, at Adelantados Ballpark. Santos was 4 for 4 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Edgardo Flores was the winner. Over 8 innings, he allowed no runs on 6 hits, with 4 walks and 3 strikeouts. Lorenzo Fracso locked down his 4th save.

Early in the game, first baseman Jorge Ruíz had a 2-run home run for San Luis Potosi. It was his 30th home run of the season and put the Jardineros on top, 2-0.
