The Ciudad Acuna Mariachis went home winners at Ballpark of Guadelupe, thanks in large part to starter Luis Cavazos. Cavazos stifled the Guadalupe Frijoles de Dios, enabling Ciudad Acuna to grab the 8-1 win. Cavazos went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 2, and struck out 4. His record improves to 2-10. The Mariachis saw their record improve to 28-45.

Ciudad Acuna relied on the hitting of Pedro Pérez to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Mariachis on top, 3-1. For the game, Pérez had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
