Chivas Rayadas Keep Streak Alive with Late Rally
|
The Guadalajara Chivas Rayadas racked up a win at Ballpark of Ecatepec, bumping off the Ecatepec Morelos, 2-1. Manuel Muñóz, who started for Guadalajara, pitched effectively for his team. Guadalajara reliever Jesús Pedilla picked up the win, raising his record to 3-3. Rafael Ramírez was tagged with the loss. The second-place Chivas Rayadas have won 6 in a row.
Guadalajara used the timely hitting of Adrián García to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Chivas Rayadas on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"We're stringing together some nice wins," said Guadalajara manager José Aguirre.
