Big Trade in PEBA Tuesday, November 25th, 2025 At a news conference this morning, the Neo-Tokyo Akira announced the acquisition of 31-year-old 3B Dwight Carver and 22-year-old minor league 3B Bill Younger from the Hartford Harpoon. In exchange, the Akira have sent 31-year-old 2B Gil Sterling, 23-year-old minor league RHP Kojiro Hirose and 20-year-old minor league RHP Dave Tate to the Harpoon. A check of his lifetime stats shows Sterling has a career .261 average with 1014 hits, 209 doubles, 32 triples, 115 home runs and 459 RBIs. To date he has scored 535 runs, walked 429 times and stolen 62 bases. Carver has played in 863 games with a .236 lifetime batting average. Among his 750 hits are 193 doubles, 15 triples and 142 home runs. He also has scored 432 runs and driven in 464 runs. |
