Duluth Shuts Out Badgers, Hernández Winner Monday, June 28th, 2027 Duluth hurler Rubén Hernández put on quite a show today as he blitzed the Kalamazoo Badgers with a 7-0 shutout. He baffled them with fastballs and changeups, allowing 4 hits with 5 strikeouts and 1 walk to pick up the win. "I think every time we were looking for a fastball, he threw a changeup and every time we were looking for a changeup, he threw a fastball," Kalamazoo manager Arnie Clay told reporters after the game. Hernández has made 16 starts so far this year and put up a 7-4 won-lost record with a 3.29 ERA. In 98.1 innings he has allowed 100 hits, walked 27 and struck out 82. View Boxscore |
