Havana's Ashley Stands out in Shutout
Saturday, September 11th, 2027
All went well for Kenny Ashley of the Havana Leones as he pitched his team to a 5-0 shutout victory over the Kentucky Thoroughbreds, limiting them to 3 hits. In the postgame interview, both managers had glowing things to say about Ashley on the day.

"Kenny's got a good selection of pitches he can throw at a guy," said Leones manager Yoshihiro Seki. "He changes speed, gives different looks to different hitters. When he's on his game, he's quite a handful."

In the contest, the Havana left-hander rang up 5 and surrendered no walks.

"He didn't give us any second chances," said Thoroughbreds manager Paul Conner. "It's a guessing game with him and today we were always guessing wrong."

Presently Ashley has a 14-8 mark in 25 starts with a 3.37 ERA. He has given up 143 hits in 179 innings, struck out 140 and issued 30 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .216 batting average against him.
