Kang Awarded SL Rookie of the Year Monday, November 15th, 2027 Hyung-jin Kang of the Crystal Lake Sandgnats became a fan favorite over the course of the 2027 campaign. The phenomenal rookie racked up a 15-6 record as he reeled in the Sovereign League Wunderkind Award. In 32 starts, he tallied 184.1 innings, 172 strikeouts and an ERA of 3.08. Kang is 32 years old and appears to be the real deal. Bigger and better things could be in store for him in the coming years. Lorenzo Castanieda of the Fargo Dinosaurs finished second in voting, while Félix Rodríguez of the Canton Longshoremen finished third. |
