Deal: Uribe for Uribe Monday, March 6th, 2028 You can't always get what you want, but sometimes you find a deal anyway. The Baseball News Network is reporting that Crystal Lake and Yuma have made a swap with 29-year-old CF Raúl Uribe, 23-year-old minor league RHP Oliver Segura, 24-year-old minor league C César Salgado, 22-year-old minor league SS Min-chul Yi, a 8th round draft pick, a 9th round draft pick, a 10th round draft pick, a 11th round draft pick and a 12th round draft pick being shipped to the Bulldozers and in return the Sandgnats would get $500 in cash. Crystal Lake general manager RJ Ermola said the two sides were close to a blockbuster trade before agreeing upon a smaller scale transaction. "This is just a bit of housekeeping compared to what we wanted to do," he said. "I won't name names, but the potential deal we were close to making would have certainly grabbed some headlines." A source inside the Crystal Lake organization said the two sides might not be done dealing, and another transaction could be in the works. During his career Uribe has played in 462 games, batted .253 with 101 home runs and 443 base hits. |
