Parsons, Francis Swap Teams Monday, July 31st, 2028 West Virginia and Yuma announced today in a joint press conference that 24-year-old minor league RHP Simon Lemieux, 24-year-old C Tom Parsons and a 5th round draft pick will be going to the Bulldozers in exchange for 31-year-old RHP Jonathan Francis and $500,000 in cash. "It'll be exciting to join a new organization," one player said. "Some of us could use a fresh start." The players have each passed physicals and are expected to report by day's end. This year Francis has chalked up 45 relief appearances, worked 47.1 innings, struck out 49 and issued 18 walks. He has 16 saves with a 3.04 ERA and a 2-7 won-lost mark. |
