Ricks Smashes 300th Homer Tuesday, July 31st, 2029 The Bakersfield Bears had something to celebrate today even though they dropped a 4-3 decision to Palm Springs. The reason -- the splendid slugger Jarrod Ricks hit his 300th career homer in today's contest at The Chocolate Factory at Yum! Field. "I'm fortunate to be here," Ricks told the media after the game. "The Bears have a classy organization and some great fans. Homer #300 was for them." In his career Ricks has hit for a .258 average and totaled 1385 hits, 300 home runs and 896 RBIs.
