Underground End García's Streak Tuesday, August 7th, 2029 The London Underground pitching staff did its job today, holding hot-hitting Raúl García hitless in 3 at-bats during the club's 3-2 victory over the West Virginia Alleghenies at Watt Powell Field. The disappointing performance ended a 20-game hitting streak for the right fielder. "I'm a little down right now," García said after the game. "I couldn't get anything going when the team needed me, and I hated to see the streak end, too." This year García has hit at a .349 pace and produced 43 RBIs, 8 home runs and scored 72 runs. |
