Malts Deal Ramos to Evas for Hayes Monday, April 2nd , 2040 Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Malts announced today the acquisition of 27-year old CF Robert Hayes, 22-year old minor league RHP Je-won Kim, and 21-year old minor league RHP Raúl Gómez from the Shin Seiki Evas in exchange for 30-year old CF Juan Ramos, 21-year old minor league LHP Charlie Conner, and 19-year old minor league RHP Masami Kamihara. "This isn't the deal of the century," acknowledged the Malts, "but we think it will improve the direction of both teams." In his 739-game career Ramos is batting .204 with 470 hits, 62 home runs, 256 runs scored and 214 RBIs. As far as career numbers, Hayes has compiled a .235 batting average and collected 122 hits, 7 home runs and 57 RBIs. |
