Underground Nakashima and Leones Juan Suspended for Fight Wednesday, April 11th , 2040 Yesterday at Pearson Metropolitan Park Eichiro Nakashima and Jing-quo Juan got into each other's space and then into each other's face. They began to grapple and fell to the ground. That's when it boiled over into a full-fledged bench-clearing tussle between the London Underground and Havana Leones. Reason finally prevailed as the umpires restored order. After much discussion, only the two major combatants were ejected from the game. Today the league office notified the ballclubs that Nakashima will have to sit out 4 while Juan would be given a 2-game suspension for their roles in the brawl. Presently Nakashima is hitting .300 with 2 home runs and 5 RBIs. He has played in 7 games and scored 3 times. |
