Crystal Lake Left Fielder Kouki Will Retire Thursday, April 19th , 2040 Crystal Lake Sandgnats left fielder Yosai Kouki will retire at the end of the season, according to reports out of team headquarters. Kouki, 37, has been considering retirement since last season sources say, though he has declined to speak publicly about retirement. "Yosai still likes baseball," one source said, "He wants to play, but he also knows he's getting up in age and the skills are not what he wants them to be. He says it's physically getting harder to go out there every day. That's why he's hanging up his spikes." Lifetime Kouki has played in 317 games with a .265 batting average. Among his 226 hits are 51 doubles, 2 triples and 10 home runs. He has also scored 66 runs and driven in 83 runs. |
