Núñez Red-Hot, IL Player of the Week Monday, April 23rd , 2040 23-year-old Michael Núñez sent shock waves through Planetary Extreme Baseball Alliance last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Imperial League Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Núñez made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .450 average, 9 hits in 20 at-bats, 6 home runs and 12 runs batted in. Where the Charleston Statesmen right fielder goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Núñez certainly made his mark last week. Presently Núñez is batting .368 with 8 home runs and 23 RBIs. He has played in 18 games and scored 14 times. |
