Kentucky's Shimizu Hurt in Accident Tuesday, May 27th, 2025 Doctors tending the injured Thoroughbreds starting pitcher Shoichi Shimizu diagnosed him with a broken bone in the elbow and said he will be out of the lineup for up to 5 months. Shimizu was injured after getting mugged on a subway yesterday. Shimizu has made 8 starts, tossed 52.2 innings, struck out 45 batters and walked 9. His record is 3-2 with a 1.54 ERA and he has limited other teams to a .208 batting average. |
