Week's #1 Player Honored by RML Monday, June 27th , 2039 27-year-old Manuel Muñóz made a few Shizuoka headlines during this past week as the rookie first baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Rocky Mountain League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 10 hits in 26 at-bats to put up a .385 average. Muñóz collected 4 home runs, 7 RBIs and scored 8 runs. This year Muñóz is hitting .283 with 12 home runs and 39 RBIs in 61 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .364 with 21 walks and 41 runs scored. |
