Anchormen Buried - Out of Playoffs Friday, August 5th , 2039 Any hopes of a playoff berth for the Newport News Anchormen this season were already a long shot at best. But even the longshot hopes are now gone, as the team was officially eliminated from playoff contention today. Newport News last appeared in the postseason in 2034. This is their 5th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 20 times in their 33-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Anchormen have only made the playoffs once. Newport News has won the Ambassador's Cup 3 times in their history. |
