Red Racers Heading to Divisional Sunday, September 11th , 2039 Cipriano Barrera said he didn't even realize how well he had been playing in the Wild Card until he was shown his own statistics. The Joplin Red Racers third baseman put up a .500 average with 0 home runs, 4 RBI and 2 runs scored, enough to earn him series MVP honors. It all added up to his Red Racers advancing to the Divisional, with a 3-1 series win over the Camaguey Tinajon. "I didn't really pay attention to the numbers or my stats at all as we went along," he said. "I'm just so focused on trying to help the team win, that's it." The series victory had become official with a 6-2 triumph at Red Racers Ballpark. Even if Barrera is not paying close attention to his stats, the rest of baseball certainly will be keeping an eye on him as the playoffs continue.
