Waxers Pilot Holman Picked as RML's Best Thursday, October 20th , 2039 Manager Pat Holman was speaking before a Chandler fan luncheon when word came down that he'd been awarded the Rocky Mountain League Manager of the Year. Holman's face turned to surprise as the club's owner made the hasty announcement. "Wow... how lucky can a guy be? Manage a great bunch of guys... have great fans... have a great season... and now this... life don't get any better than this." Chandler fans applauded, recognizing how fortunate they were to have Holman at the helm. Both fans and players in attendance toasted their skipper as they truly enjoyed the day. 2039 was an extra-special season for Holman as he piloted the Chandler Waxers to a 82-58 record and a third place spot in the Rocky Mountain League West standings. A record good enough to win the 2039 Manager of the Year Award. |
