Gashie Uki Picked AML's Best Player
Saturday, October 22nd , 2039
The manager of the Clifton Dons said he thinks Gashie Uki is only going to get better as he gets older.
He may only be 25, but it will be hard to top the right fielder's 2039 campaign, as he has been named the winner of the Appalachian Mountain League Outstanding Hitter Award.
His winning campaign featured a .338 batting average and a .399 on-base percentage this year. In 134 games he piled up 184 hits, 32 doubles, 8 triples, 10 home runs, 63 RBIs and 92 runs scored.
He received 32 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Tsuruki Inomata of the Joplin Red Racers finished second in voting, while Pepe Padino of the Camaguey Tinajon finished third.
