Great Stroke: Hirano Gets 5 Hits Saturday, April 14th , 2040 Niigata third baseman Sosa Hirano had a day to remember today, 5-for-6 against the Lincoln Emancipation at Gigans Ballpark as the Gigans picked up a 26-6 victory. "He was patient up there today," Niigata skipper Bill Holt told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly aggressive. Hirano has a tendency to chase bad balls sometimes." Sosa Hirano walked in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, grounded out in the 5th, doubled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run triple in the 8th.
