Campeau and Cabrera Fight, Get Suspended Wednesday, April 25th , 2040 After an intense confrontation, both the Red Racers Ed Campeau and the Anchormen Manuel Cabrera were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Joplin-Newport News game. Ed Campeau will miss 3 games, while Manuel Cabrera was suspended for 6 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Ed Campeau commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." In 22 games this season Campeau has batted at a .314 pace with 27 hits and 4 home runs. This year Cabrera has posted a 2-2 mark in 5 starts and has a 4.44 ERA. |
