Jesty Put in Cooler, Hitless Against Sherwood Park Thursday, August 11th , 2039 Harrison Jesty saw his 31-game hitting streak wither and die today during the Seoul Crushers win over Sherwood Park at Crushatorium. The 31-year-old designated hitter was held hitless in 1 at-bat by the Sherwood Park Hoods, but his teammates produced enough offense to take the game, 15-6. "Am I disappointed about the hit streak? Maybe, just a little bit," a seemingly upbeat Jesty told reporters in the clubhouse. "But really, how could you be unhappy after you hit in 31 straight games? I'm just glad it lasted as long as it did. Life is good." So far this year Jesty is batting .298 with 16 home runs. |
