Player of the Week: Mendoza of the Highlanders Monday, August 15th , 2039 Swinging a hot stick last week, Bernardo Mendoza picked up the Atlantic Alliance Player of the Week Award today. The 24-year-old first baseman for Inverness lashed 13 hits in 29 at-bats as he put together a .448 average with 7 home runs. Mendoza also drove in 12 runs, scored 11 times and compiled a .467 OBP. Thus far this year Mendoza is batting .405 with 8 home runs, 13 RBIs and 14 runs scored. |
