Bowling Green Playoff Hopes Officially Zero Sunday, August 21st , 2039 Even the most die-hard fans of the Bowling Green Rebels will likely now start focusing on next year. The team was today mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. "We're disappointed," said Rebels closer Mike Booker. "Not just for ourselves, but also for the fans that stick with us every year." Bowling Green last appeared in the postseason in 2035. This is their 4th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 15 times in their 33-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Rebels have made the playoffs 4 times. Bowling Green has won the Great Northern Cup 2 times in their history. |
