Bloemheuvel Slams 3 Homers for Beatles Tuesday, August 23rd , 2039 Liverpool right fielder Melvin Bloemheuvel blasted three homers today at Argonauts Ballpark in the 8-4 Beatles victory over the Rockville Reckoning. For the game, Melvin Bloemheuvel scored 3 times and knocked in 7 runs. When he hit his last home run, his teammates, hearing the crack of the bat, leaped off the bench and rushed on the field to greet the jubilant Bloemheuvel when he reached home plate. "It was just one game, but it sure was a lot of fun -- 4-for-5, three roundtrippers and a win," a gleeful Bloemheuvel told BNN reporters in a postgame interview. "What a day." Melvin Bloemheuvel hit an RBI single in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Tony Méndez in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Lorenzo Hernández in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Tim Thomas in the 9th. To date, Bloemheuvel has collected 66 hits for a .224 average. He has posted 22 home runs, scored 51 runs and driven in 56 runs. |
