Industrialists Win Wild Card Sunday, September 11th , 2039 The Hamilton Industrialists took time to celebrate with the Hamilton fans who stuck around after the game, following the team's Wild Card triumph over the Edmonton Mall Ratz. Members of the Industrialists hung around chatting, high-fiving and taking pictures with the Hamilton fans in attendance at Hamilton Grounds, long after the last pitch had been thrown in their 7-1 win to seal the series 3-1. "We've got great fan support," said catcher Taro Okamoto. "Whether we're at home or on the road, the fans support us. So we wanted to show them how important that is to us. Some Edmonton fans that were there even congratulated us on the win." For the series, Okamoto hit .417 with a .562 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, 5 RBI and scored 5 runs. Things weren't so cordial on the Mall Ratz side of things. Their clubhouse was closed to media after the game and all players and coaches quickly dressed and left the stadium after the end to their season.
