Rockville Wins Wild Card Sunday, September 11th , 2039 Rockville first baseman Igmi Atsu couldn't hide his reaction when asked about being named MVP of the Wild Card. "It's a nice honor," he said, failing to suppress a wide smile. The trophy was presented to Atsu moments after his club eliminated the Narragansett Seagulls to advance to the Divisional. Rockville won the final game by a score of 7-2 at Argonauts Ballpark and took the series 3-1. "We won the series and that's the main thing," Atsu said. "They were a tough team and we didn't want to take anything for granted." For the series, Atsu hit .375 with a .353 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 8 RBI and scored 3 runs. "He was tough to stop and that's a big reason they're there and we're here," said a dejected Narragansett manager Iwao Sanu.
