Lammas and Green Suspended for Free-for-All Saturday, April 7th , 2040 Yesterday at Crushatorium Ashley Lammas and Ken Green got into each other's space and then into each other's face. They began to grapple and fell to the ground. That's when it boiled over into a full-fledged bench-clearing tussle between the Seoul Crushers and Medicine Hat Drillers. Reason finally prevailed as the umpires restored order. After much discussion, only the two major combatants were ejected from the game. Today the league office notified the ballclubs that Lammas will have to sit out 2 while Green would be given a 6-game suspension for their roles in the brawl. This season Lammas has banged out 9 hits in 22 at-bats for a .409 average with 1 home run. He is getting on base at a .480 pace and his totals also include 2 RBIs and 3 runs scored. |
