That's what José González was doing at Quebec City Ballpark today as he blanked the Edmonton Mall Ratz in a 9-inning complete game shutout. "I went out there to try to eat up innings and help out our bullpen," the Quebec City Frenchies left-hander said later. "I felt I had my good stuff, and it turned out my command was solid." González notched 12 strikeouts, surrendered no walks, allowed 2 hits, and kept the bullpen phone quiet all day long. His record this season is 2-3 in 6 starts and González has a 6.89 ERA.
