ATAL Honors Narragansett Left Fielder Monday, May 7th , 2040 In the twilight of his career, 37-year-old Tom Patton of Narragansett recaptured some of the old magic last week and came away with the Atlantic Alliance Player of the Week Award. "I've been playing since I was a kid," Patton told reporters, "but you're never too old to feel the thrill of success." Patton outpaced the rest of the league's hitters last week, reeling off 12 hits in 24 at-bats, 3 home runs, and 5 RBIs to stake his claim to the award. In this current campaign Patton is hitting at a .289 clip with 6 home runs and 14 RBIs. |
