Gurnah Slams 5 Hits for Takaoka Saturday, June 18th , 2039 It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Kamau Gurnah today. Gurnah went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Chula Vista pitchers. When the dust settled on the diamond at The Shrine, he had a 5-for-8 line and a day he will long remember. And the Takaoka Shiko had a 8-7 victory over the Chargers. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview. Kamau Gurnah flied out in the 1st, flied out in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 6th, singled in the 8th, hit an RBI single in the 9th, singled in the 12th, flied out in the 15th and hit an RBI single in the 16th.
