Horton Batters Bismarck for 5 Hits Monday, July 4th , 2039 5 hits in a game is a rare thing, but Jackson Hole's Randy Horton made it happen today against the Battleships. Everything came together at the plate for the 22-year-old right fielder as he collected 5 hits in 7 at-bats -- and led the Twin Titans to a 5-3 win at Battleships Ballpark. "I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Horton said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats today. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em." Randy Horton doubled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, tripled in the 6th, struck out in the 7th, doubled in the 9th and hit a two-run home run off Adam MacKay in the 11th. This season Horton has hit at a .307 clip with 31 RBIs, 10 home runs and 36 runs scored. He has played in 59 games. View Boxscore |
