Playoffs Won't Happen for Frontier Tuesday, August 9th , 2039 The Cheyenne Frontier have struggled throughout this season and now they have officially been mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. "Obviously we knew things had not been going to smoothly, but this still stinks," said shortstop Ron Phillips Cheyenne last appeared in the postseason in 2034. This is their 5th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 28 times in their 33-year history.
