Rapid City Out of Time, Out of Playoffs Tuesday, August 23rd , 2039 The Rapid City Rushmores were stuck in the middle this season -- not competitive enough in the playoff chase to be considered relevant, but not far enough behind to be completely written off. Until now, that is -- today, the Rushmores were mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. The Rushmores have missed the playoffs 24 times in their 33 years as a North American Farm Team Affiliation franchise.
