Mexicali Sweeps into the Championship Monday, September 19th , 2039 It was a sweet sweep for the Mexicali Shmoes as they eased past the Ensenada Cenicienta del Pacifico to advance to the Championship. Mexicali won the final game by a 7-0 count and the series 4-0. "We're just fortunate to get through it quickly and be able to rest up for the next series," said Kosaku Ishikawa, who was named series MVP. For the series, Ishikawa hit .500 with a .524 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 2 runs.
