Bang-up Game: Baker Slams 3 Homers Wednesday, April 29th , 2037 In a powerful performance that left the fans at Washington Grounds buzzing, Illinois Chiefs left fielder Tim Baker blasted a trio of home runs en route to a 11-3 win over the Washington Montlake Malamutes. "Everything was clicking," Baker told the press. "My timing was good and I got pitches I could handle and I didn't miss them." Baker shined brilliantly in the win, with 4 hits in 5 at-bats, 5 RBIs and 4 runs scored. "It's not just one guy, it's everybody," Chiefs manager Josh Miles said. "Tim played great but it takes more than one guy to win a game." Tim Baker hit a two-run home run off Millard Phillips in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, doubled in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Fernando Sánchez in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off Ernesto Aguilar in the 9th.
