Romero Socks It to Arizona State 3 Times Thursday, April 15th , 2038 Fernando Romero was sending souvenirs to the sun gods all game long in the 10-7 UAB Dragons triumph at Arizona State Grounds today. The 19-year-old put on a show for fans, launching not one, not two, but three home runs into the stands and powering the Dragons past the Arizona State Solar Angels. "One homer's good, two's great, three's out of sight," Romero told BNN reporters after the game. "I can't wait until next game. I really feel good at the plate." The third baseman went 3-for-4, rung up 4 RBIs and scored 4 runs on his record-setting day. Fernando Romero flied out in the 1st, walked in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Bobby Bush in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Victor Buchanan in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Marvin Bryant in the 9th. Presently Romero is batting .324 with 12 home runs and 25 RBIs. He has played in 38 games and scored 29 times. |
