Washington's Vela to Miss Season Sunday, April 25th , 2038 JĂșlio Vela of the Montlake Malamutes just might have to call it quits for the season. The 18-year-old Washington starting pitcher received a possible season-ending injury against the Stanford Axe recently at Washington Grounds. Vela suffered a torn meniscus while throwing a pitch. The Montlake Malamutes medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 4 months.
This season Vela has compiled a 3-3 mark with a 3.91 ERA.
