Michigan State Advances to Super Regionals Thursday, May 13th , 2038 Michigan State first baseman Yong-u Ton couldn't hide his reaction when asked about being named MVP of the Regionals. "It's a nice honor," he said, failing to suppress a wide smile. The trophy was presented to Ton moments after his club eliminated the Central Florida Wicked Witches to advance to the Super Regionals. Michigan State won the final game by a score of 4-0 at Persians Ballpark and took the series 4-2. "We won the series and that's the main thing," Ton said. "They were a tough team and we didn't want to take anything for granted." For the series, Ton hit .308 with a .333 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 6 RBI and scored 6 runs. "He was tough to stop and that's a big reason they're there and we're here," said a dejected Central Florida manager Ron Nelson.
