Rowdy Players Suspended by League Sunday, March 20th , 2039 Dave Wilson of UCLA and Jason Ayers of Notre Dame were the main participants in a recent bench-clearing brawl and today the league handed out its punishment. Wilson will have to miss 5 games for his part in the brawl, while Ayers was given 6 games. League officials announced their suspensions today. To date Wilson has chalked up a .298 average with 2 home runs, driven in 8 runs and scored 10 times. This year Ayers has recorded a 1-1 mark. In 2 starts he has fanned 16 batters in 17.2 innings with a 6.11 ERA. |
