González Has Hot Hand, Bangs 5 hits Sunday, March 11th , 2040 It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-6 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for José González, it came around today. The 20-year-old catcher scattered hits all over Axe Ballpark to pace the Stanford Axe to a 11-10 victory over the Memphis Belles. Memphis skipper Tyler Walters told reporters in the press room that "González deserves a hat-tip." "He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, González hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit." José González singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, flied out in the 7th, doubled in the 9th, singled in the 11th and walked in the 13th.
