That's exactly what Skip Paul did today at McConaugheys Ballpark, going deep three times and carrying his team to victory, 8-1. "It all came together. I was seeing the ball well and I got some good pitches to hit," Paul said. "Good things happen, when that happens." The Marshall McConaugheys right fielder blistered the St. John's Kaisers for 3 hits, batted in 7 runs and scored 3 times. "It ain't like we weren't trying," St. John's manager Álex Díaz said. "He was hot and really torched my boys today." Skip Paul flied out in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Doug Sheringham in the 4th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Doug Sheringham in the 5th and hit a two-run home run off Gus Walton in the 7th. In 22 games this year Paul has posted a .373 average and put up these numbers: 11 home runs, 25 RBIs and 19 runs scored. |
