Season-Ending Injury for Fred Coffey Sunday, April 8th , 2040 The season is finished for Fred Coffey of the Michigan Red Dawns. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Red Dawns starting pitcher suffered bone chips in his elbow while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Notre Dame Evangelists. Team doctors said it would take at least 5 months to heal. On his stats sheet for the year Coffey shows a 3-2 record, 7 starts, 37.2 innings, 14 strikeouts and a 2.39 ERA. |
